The Bards Initiative MissionThe Bards Initiative is a New York State Non-Profit Corporation dedicated to using poetry to help the Long Island community. The Initiative provides avenues for poets to share their work and aims to encourage and inspire the writing and performing of poetry on Long Island and create a welcoming community for poets. It is the core belief of the Bards Initiative that poetry is the voice of the people and can be used to make a difference.
